Yes, I'm using this approach at the moment. The problem is that this again relies on the people, i.e.
you should not just run the package from selenic.com, but instead download some add-ons from the
company web site. So it's not a technical, but rather a people issue again.
I actually made shell script for Linux users to set up the defaults, including the username from
the LDAP server. For Windows it wasn't that simple, as I ended up with a very ugly-looking
VBS script :-)
