alternative for hgactivity extension

Hi list,

does somebody know an alternative for the hgactivity extension?

(In principle hgactivity would do what I need, but installation is a PITA, since one needs to have matplotlib installed, which is not available as RPM or DEB for my OpenSUSE and Ubuntu systems, and so force me to install the stuff directly from source, which I'd like to avoid...)
