What were the deciding factors if any? What could be improved?

Subject: (very small) details on Python choosing Mercurial
So first of all, thanks to everyone who has helped me over the past several months with this whole process. It's nice to have it finished.
At this point the only thing that has happened is the decision was made to go with Mercurial as our next version control system. We do not have a transition plan yet since we still have to figure out what workflow we are going to want. Expect emails from me on both topics at some point. =)
The hope is to make the transition by/in summer. But since this decision was just made yesterday we have not gotten very farther other than we want to switch sooner rather than later.
If people have any questions feel free to ask. I have already subscribed to this list in preparation of having stupid newbie questions so the least I can do is answer any questions you all might have.
