[moved from include/asm-m68knommu/bitops.h with 100% similarity]
Clicking on the old file name, then on 'history' (again, commitdiff shows
something totally unrelated), we finally get the log of
include/asm-m68knommu/bitops.h
In the hg interface, the only thing I get is
http://www.kernel.org/hg/index.cgi/linux-2.6/file/8dcc271a81a8/arch/m68k/include/asm/bitops_no.h#l1
There, the commit message that I see is totally unrelated, and I see no way
to go further backwards in history.
'changeset' is wrong as is the commit message.
'file', 'diff', 'file log' and 'raw' do the right thing,
but are deadends.
'annotate' works also, but shows for each line the commit of the renaming,
not the commit of the original lines. IMHO, there should be a special
line in the annotate output for the name of the file, while the content
of the file should keep its original authors.
if I click on this annotation, I finally get the right commit log, but I
cannot go further back in history.
Are these known (and worked-on) issues ?
Best regards
Philippe
PS: Thanks for reading so far, and sorry for describing many maybe unrelated
problems in one mail.
Summary :
- no link to old name of a renamed file
- annotate shows for each line the commitid of the renaming, not the
commitid of the original lines.
- totally unrelated commit message in
http://www.kernel.org/hg/index.cgi/linux-2.6/file/8dcc271a81a8/arch/m68k/include/asm/bitops_no.h#l1
