Performance of Mercurial Web View

Hi All

I'm doing an experiment to convert the whole history of our product  
into a huge Mercurial repo. The last changset's id is 101122 now.  
Running 'hg st' or 'hg commit' is not too slow (3 or 4 seconds) but  
browsing in the web view is extremely slow -- I must wait for almost 1  
minute for each click. What's happening here?

The web view is in gitweb style, using hgwebdir.cgi on Apache 2.2 on a  
normal PC running Ubuntu.
