Unless everyone else in your company is directly using your working
copy, it does not matter what version you use locally. Hg is very
version compatible over the wire.

It's time for my monthly reminder that TortoiseHg is not just for
Windows. The latest stable release does use hg-1.3, though.

'hgtk shelve' will do what you need, and you get 'hgtk log', 'hgtk ci'
and a bunch of other tools for free.
