I'm keeping an eye on the discussion. I'm trying to avoid getting
drawn into the big advocacy threads, though. I haven't got the energy
for jumping on all the misinformation.
At some point, I think someone should push really hard on the "Bazaar
is slow, Mercurial is fast" argument. The Bazaar advocates seem VERY
good at handwaving this one away, and I don't think we should let that
happen. OTOH, I don't want to look like the one person ranting on
about this, so I think a few more people popping up with performance
gripes would help.
FWIW, I see Bazaar and Mercurial as pretty close on features - at
least for the things I expect python-dev to actually use - so I think
the performance argument is likely to be significant.
