Another pro for mercurial is that it actually does what it promises :P
My reason for switching from bzr to hg was that everything related to
connections over http is extremely buggy (well: in my case it breaks all
the time, due to improper handling of redirections)
With bzr it took me weeks trying to set up a repo with access over http
with pushing possibilities and user/passwords in .htaccess before
finally figuring out it just doesn't work. Even though I did what the
manual said to the letter. With hg it took me a day or two to set it up
(especially the hgwebdir.py script was instrumental in this) and it
works like a charm :D
