Currently it looks mainly like a shootout between git and Bazaar (where git is at a disadvantage, because naturally Python developers want to use a Python tool which they can easily improve in Python) while Mercurial supporters strangely seem to hold back. 

Means: The thread needs some Mercurial users who can discuss the use-cases and add Mercurial commands for them (with a focus on being easy to use for newcomers and people who contribute only now and then).
