Trouble Committing Binary Files

I'm running TortoiseHg 0.5 with Mercurial 1.0.2 on Windows XP service pack 3. Task manager tells me I have 1.3 GIB RAM available. It looks like I was assuming an incorrect factor of 2. Any work around as I can't break this file into chunks. Will a future release of Mercurial accommodate checking in files of any size?

Which version of Mercurial are you using and how much -free- memory do
you have? If you're running Linux, send the output of the 'free'
command.
The factor may actually be more like 5 or 6.
