I just noticed that there is an article about Mercurial 1.0
in issue 12 (2008-05-26) of the bi-weekly German computer
magazine "c't" (http://www.heise.de/ct/english/)!
"Offline versionieren -- Von Subversion auf Mercurial umsteigen"
by Oliver Lau
pages 182 to 187
(translation attempt by myself:
"Offline versioning -- Switching from Subversion to Mercurial)
(I'm a subscriber of that magazine.)
The article is 6 full pages with several graphics and screenshots,
also showing, for example, TortoioseHg.
Quote:
"... Ohne Netzanschluss ist der Platzhirsch Subversion
allerdings kaum zu gebrauchen. Das macht Mercurial -
neben einigem anderen - viel besser."
translation attempt by myself:
"... Without network connectivity, top dog Subversion
isn't of much use. That's where Mercurial -- among
several other things -- is doing much better".
The article also references Bryan's hgbook (with full
URL).
Congratulations to Matt and Bryan and to all project
contributors!
