Well, most, but not everything. Compiled C code is linked against
libpthread, so at least this should be compatible. I'm not a python
programmer, but I think there may be dependencies, too.
However, after some hours of searching and trying things out I got fc2
running from an external disk, so I can provide compiled current revisions
of mercurial.

is an archive with mercurial-1.0 after running
make local
on fedora core 2 (x86).
