forest: info about pushing/pulling forests with snapshots?

hi,

imagine that you have a forest of 3 repositories A,B,C,
where let's say, B and C live "below" A.

now i understand that i can fpush, fpull, fclone it,
but how does tagging work?


in particular, i would like at some point mark a specific revision of A, 
   a specific revision of B, and a specific revision of C as let's say 
"RELEASE_12".

and then, when releasing, i need to be able to clone this forest, and 
update it to "RELEASE_12"...

but how?

i think the snapshot-files should offer something similar to what i 
want, but there's no documentation about thenm, and i just have no idea 
how to incorporate them into the whole fpull fpush thing.

does anyone have any experience with it?
