When I sent the patch to Aaron Bentley to add Mercurial support, I asked
him about the status.  He said that 'be' had been used internally by
a workgroup but that the project had been completed and no-one else had
picked up 'be' again.  At that point he was maintaining mostly for
himself.

It's an interesting technology that could use some TLC.
