New in this release is an improved changelog viewer and a new
data-mining tool (combination of annotate and grep). Now that
TortoiseHg has a credible changelog viewer we are removing hgview and
hgk from the binary installer. For those of you who are reluctant to
let go of hgk right away, there's instructions in the TortoiseHg FAQ for
how to re-enable it in this release (adding hgview is an exercise left
for the reader). Later releases will drop support for hgk from the
context menu altogether.
Also new in this release is Windows Vista support. An upstream fix in
pywin32 has made this possible.
Non-Windows users of TortoiseHg can pull from the main repository at
http://tortoisehg.sourceforge.net/hg/tortoisehg-dev to get the 0.3
release of hgtk and the dialogs.
As of today, I am dropping support for my two other Windows installers
('Batteries Included' and 'Python Approach'/NSI). The BI installer has
essentially become the TortoiseHg installer and there is no need to
distribute them separately. The NSI installer is just too difficult to
maintain for too little gain and too much confusion. If anyone would
like to take over this project, contact me.
