I usually like to think positive, instead of thinking negative.
Personally, if a company will modify a BSD released software without
releasing the sources, I would do everything I can do to boycott them.

IMHO BSD or MIT license are like a deal between consenting adults (a bit
like Python phylosophy).
Of course there are bad people around, but having to "harm" good people
to keep bad people away it's not really a good thing to do.

If you don't like BSD, then LGPL should be equally ok; what do you think?

Otherwise I should to think about some "tricks" for including Mercurial
in wsgix without relicensing (as an example using "plugins", see
SQLAlchemy).
