The wiki pointed to gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt which doesn't state any version.
The link just said "GPL", so making that link point to the most recent version
of the GPL seems logical to me (so I don't think that as rude).
Sadly saying "GPLv2 only" makes using the AGPL for their own contributions
impossible for the bitbucket team (and others), so changing the license might
be quite useful - and the "by reference" sounds much like "we can change that
easily". The reference must just point to any GPL.
At least that's what I read from the sentence, but I'm no lawyer.
