I was looking more for the https://name:pass@site.com/hg/repo format. 
That will work for the scripts and it can be configured in TortoiseHG. 
Even though it is secure about sending the password (at least I can't 
find it with wireshark because it is within the ssl stream), I am not 
sure I like having the password displayed in plaintext within the 
TortoiseHG UI, but having it within the url is essentially the same from 
the commandline (with the additional benefit that it can be stored in 
the hgrc).
