Newbie having problem with transaction aborted

Hi,

Question 1:

I installed mercurial a couple of days and back and have started using hg.
One problem that I have is after I complete the cycle of status, add and
commit, the vi editor is opened with the changes that I have completed.
However, when I save the file or quit it hg gives me the message that the
transaction is being rolled back and aborted. I found a workaround which is:

hg commit -m "commit message"

One problem with having a common name like hg is that it's hard to find info
on google with it.

Question 2:

I have a bunch of system generated files which are exactly have their name
<32 charters alphanumerical UID>.py. Can anyone help with the regex to match
those names which I can put in .hgignore I tried several expressions but my
regex knowledge is very limited.

Thanks,

Vineet
