Testing needed on tip

Trying tip on a recent build of OS X 10.5 "Leopard". Build went fine,  
but there's a test failure. Looks like this might be due to a change  
in the location of the per-user-temp-files directory, which is now a  
randomly-named subdir of /var/folders...
