I have a semi-OT question.

I'm doing revision control on /etc on a debian workstation, and I found
some files that have changed which I'm not sure should be tracked.

Basically /etc/texmf/ which are files from tex-common and  texlive.

No, I got the basic info on how to track /etc from [1] but it just
tracks everything. Is that OK?
