[BUG?] Experimenting problems during an Arch->Mercurial repo conversion

Not doubt that you'll have some from as I also have a bit of history
stored in Arch/baz archives and will need to convert them if I move to hg!

I was going to look at tailor for this but I'm not python-savvy at all...
