In fact it seems I was testing SSH cloning with a corrupt repository. Starting
over with a fresh repository, clone, push, and pull seem to work OK in the four
combinations of patched or unpatched local and remote Hg. The format of the
local clone depends on the local Hg.

I also checked and bundle/unbundle seem to be fully interoperable.
